Website Accessibility

Nature Beyond Maps is committed to making its website usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies.

Our accessibility approach

We design this site to support keyboard navigation, screen readers, browser zoom, readable contrast, descriptive links and alternative text for meaningful images. The site also includes an optional read-aloud control that uses compatible browser speech technology.

The read-aloud feature is a convenience and does not replace native screen readers or other assistive technology.

Using this site

Keyboard access

Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move through links and controls. A skip link at the beginning of each page moves directly to the main content.

Text and zoom

Use your browser zoom controls to enlarge text and page content. The site is designed to reflow across common screen sizes.

(Read aloud)

Select “Read Aloud” in the primary navigation in a supported browser. While reading, the control changes to “Stop Reading”; select it again to end playback.

Need assistance?

If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need website information in another format, please contact Nature Beyond Maps and identify the page or content involved and the type of assistance you need.

Accessibility is an ongoing part of NBM website development and will continue to be reviewed as the site evolves.
