NBM is being developed as an environmental field-access, education and collaboration organization serving an initial focus area of Eastern Washington, North Idaho and Western Montana.
Its purpose is to help decision-makers, educators, conservation professionals, businesses and community stakeholders experience environmental conditions firsthand, exchange knowledge in the field and collaborate on practical conservation and land-management solutions.
Field Access as Infrastructure
NBM is designed to help organizations and stakeholders reach natural environments where firsthand observation and on-location work matter. The Institute can provide complete educational field programs or serve as the field-access and logistics partner for organizations that already have their own subject-matter experts.
That capability can extend from a single-day site visit to a supported multi-day field assignment, with transportation, communications, meals, equipment support and remote overnight logistics coordinated around the charitable, educational, scientific, conservation, stewardship or land-management purpose of the work.
